Reaching For Light
The sunflower - neither the most revered nor elegant flower, some would say; but look - look. See how she arches her neck, lifting her heavy head higher and higher, following, following, her gaze focused and true. Sure, I could wish to be a rose, stately and timeless and fragrant to all who know me; but surely there is no more faithful flower, no bloom less concerned with the trappings of this world, than the sunflower. She sees the light and calls is to her. That is her magic.
This original painting measures 10 x 12 inches, and comes unframed.
